We're quite pleased that Thornton has offered to chair a Digital Camera RoundTable following our regular meetings. It is planned to be a workshop type discussion on digital cameras and photography, with the format being mostly Q&A. It is not intended to cover software such as Adobe Photoshop, Elements, Paintshop Pro, etc. Those interested should bring their digital camera AND manual. However, anyone not having them would be most welcome and could ask any questions they might have.

Thornton brings considerable knowledge and experience, having been active in photography since 1950, mostly with 35mm single lens reflex cameras. For several years he has exhibited in International Exhibitions (salons) in the nature slide division with some success. Those interested in the subject will know that most digital camera manuals and reference books devote quite a bit of space to principles of generic photography, which apply to both film and digital, such as composition, lighting, etc. This is a good oportunity to not only get your questions answered but to share your experiences with others.

Don't be hesitant to join this roundtable immediately following the regular meetings. And don't forget to bring your digital camera and manual, if you have them.
