January 15th program will be "Put New Life In That Old Computer" - A Powerpoint presentation by Tom Black, Web Services Director at the University of Arkansas School of Law, Fayetteville.

In the December 2010 Pres's Corner I announced that the results of the interest survey would be published in the JanUARY Newsletter. Plans have changed. The results will be shown at the January 15th meeting.

Here are a few MS Windows 7 tips:

1. Windows 7 simplifies document and program management by allowing you to "dock" a window or manipulate its size with one mouse maneuver or a simple keystroke. To dock your window on one half of the screen, drag it to the left or right and it will change its size to fit that half of the screen. To manipulate the vertical size of window, drag the window to the top to maximize it, or double- click the window"s top or bottom border to maximize it vertically while keeping the same width.

2. "Aero Peek" your desktop: Click the vertical rectangle in the lower right hand of the task bar for quick access to your desktop. Can't find it? It is right of the time and date one the task bar. You can use this feature when you are in an application and want to use another program to get information. Click on program icon to return to the interrupted application.

Just a reminder - Be sure to check for patches for all internet browsers. There are critical patches for security ready for you to download.
