Our Past President, Bill Moeller, presented a comprehensive history of photography at the February Meeting. Thanks Bill, for taking the time to prepare this program.

In January we had a program on Selling on eBay". Our March program will follow up with "Buying on eBay". Be sure to invite your friends who are interested in this subject to come to the meeting.

TIP OF THE MONTH
Now that I have presented two TOM's, you must have an idea for a TIP. The February TOM was as follows:

Create a Medicare Web page to hold your medical records--

Go to MY.MEDICARE.GOV web site (no WWW), and set up a free, secure personal Web page to hold your personal medical data. In addition you can view the status of your Medicare claims, replacement card, and forms.

NEW EQUIPMENT
The Club purchased a great new projector for use at meetings. Until this year we depended on the Jones Center for a projector. Availability of a projector from this source is uncertain..We had to rent a projector for the January program at about 1/4th the cost of a new projector.

CAN'T GET BROADBAND INTERNET WHERE YOU LIVE?

What if you can't get a broadband connection where you live. Satellite service costs too much. There is a company called Space Data Corp. that keeps ten balloons aloft each day with a receiver/transmitter attached. The balloons are launched by farmers and dairy men each day. The equipment package is released each day and retrieved by persons who receive payment. The success of this company is up-in-the-air at this time. They are depending on cost not ballooning.
