Having Trouble Running Older Programs in XP?

Every once in a while you may find an older program that isn't compatible with the XP operating system. No problem. XP has thought of that.

All you do is right click on the program's .EXE file and left click on Properties. You'll see a number of tabs at the top. Click on the Compatibility tab and check the box "run this program in compatibility mode for:" Then click the little down arrow to the right of "Windows 95" and you'll see you can select one of several compatibility modes: Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, or 2000. Next you can select to run it in 256 colors, 640 x 480 screen resolution, and/or disable visual themes. Then click on Apply and OK out. Happy compatibility running!
